Let nature take center stage. You're in for some of the most breathtaking views around. From novice to expert hiker, there's a trail for everyone. Close to downtown Tiburon, Old St. Hilary's Open Space Preserve offers a 360-degree view of the bay. Tiburon Ridge Trail is a short hike that's heavy on scenery. Head to Angel Island for water views that are not to be missed. On the lookout for a little wildlife? Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary is the place to go. in the mood for Activity

Ready to get active? Take on the Old Rail Trail by bike or on foot. Want a little variety? Ring Mountain accommodates a range of activities including mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing and hiking. Paradise Loop is a must for serious cyclists. Or get your sea legs with a bevy of sailing activities - Tiburon is the home of not one but three, world renowned yacht clubs: Corinthian Yacht Club, San Francisco Yacht Club, and Tiburon Yacht Club.

 

in the mood for a History Lesson

Discover a little bit of the history that makes Tiburon so special. Stop by the Railroad & Ferry Depot Museum to uncover stories and artifacts of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad from the 1920s. Then head over to China Cabin, and walk in to the grand social reception room, formerly of the S.S. China, a sailing vessel that used steam power in the late 1800s. Angel Island is known as the 'Ellis Island of the West.' - it is as rich in history as it is in stunning views. Surrounded by wildflowers and open every Sunday for tours, Old St. Hilary's boasts stunning views and a story for every historian. Rustic and gorgeous, with colorful flowerbeds and a panoramic view, the Art & Garden Center has as much historical significance as it does modern day appeal.

in the mood for Kid-Friendly Activities

During the summer, Friday Nights on Main are a much loved community tradition. Closed to traffic and perfect for a family outing, your little ones will feel as though they have the town to themselves. The same goes for Belvedere Park (with summertime concerts!) as well as Blackie's Pasture, which offer playgrounds and fields that will have your kids grinning from ear to ear. At Tiburon Playhouse you'll want to grab a few plush, comfy seats and a bucket of popcorn for a movie. A short drive away, the Bay Area Discovery Museum will keep children of all ages fully entertained with engaging outdoor and indoor exhibits.

Head 40 minutes (18 miles) west to play in the sand & water at Stinson Beach and stop by Muir Woods along the way to experience the magic of this towering redwood forest. Experience the romance of wine country with a visit to the world-world-reknowned vineyards of Napa Valley and Sonoma. Or get urban and drive south onto the iconic Golden Gate Bridge for a day in San Francisco

 

in the mood for a Ferry Ride

No visit to Tiburon is complete without a trip on board the Angel Island Ferry (10 minutes to Angel Island) or the Blue & Gold Fleet (20 minutes to San Francisco). Or pick up an all day pass on board the Tideline Water Taxi to Sausalito, San Francisco, and back to Tiburon. Or chart your own path (with the help of a seasoned Captain) on board a chartered sailboat. The world is your oyster.
